About the Candidate

Marc W. Vital II (he, him) is the Assistant Professor of Costume Design at the University of Missouri. He serves KCACTF Region 5 as the Vice Chair of Representation, Equity, and Diversity, promoting inclusion and providing opportunities for our underserved members.

He earned his BA in Theatre with a Concentration in Costume Design from the University of Alabama and his MFA in Costume Design from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. His recent works include The Prom, based on an original concept by Jack Viertel with book and lyrics by Chad Beguelin, book by Bob Martin, and music by Matthew Sklar.; Ragtime by Terrence McNally with music by Stephen Flaherty and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens; and Luchadora by Alvaro Saar Rios.

In his spare time, he enjoys home brewing for TTRPGs, creating 1/6 scale figures, and lifting weights. These creative outlets allow him stretch his body and mind in alternative ways outside his primary work.
